“BRR 2018: Quando a periferia se torna trendy” book design.
The book traces a picture of the socio-cultural life in the city of Barreiro. The book design created a visual identity in this “Exquisite corpse”, a co-creation among academics, journalists, local agents, photographers, designers and artists. This graphic backbone was achieved by the design of a typeface called “Ferramenta de coisas”, based on my memory of shapes from Barreiro old industrial landscape. At the same time the typeface name and modular character to build “things” reinforces the DYI drive of ​​the city’s cultural movements in the post-industrial era. And the use of Staff and Sul Mono typefaces from R‑Typography.
